EIMK-T1L SPE Media Converter — Supercharge Your Cabling

10BASE-T1L (T1L) Ethernet (as defined by the IEEE 802.3cg standard) enables long-distance IP communication over single-pair cabling. The EIMK-T1L SPE Media Converter complies with this specification to provide a reliable solution for bridging traditional Ethernet networks with T1L infrastructure.

T1L is optimal for new and retrofit applications because it combines the benefits of Ethernet with the flexibility and reach traditionally found in fieldbus and serial networks. The EIMK-T1L SPE Media Converter supports 10 Mbps full-duplex transmission over distances up to 1 km using a single twisted-pair cable to provide IP connectivity over long distances.

The media converter's ability to reuse existing cabling makes it ideal for use in retrofit applications. In building automation systems, the media converter can be used to upgrade legacy serial networks, such as BACnet MS/TP, LonWorks, or Modbus, to IP-based networks without replacing the wiring.

This UL-listed media converter operates on 24 VAC/VDC, while offering redundant power connections. A half-wave rectifier design makes it possible to share the power source with other half-wave devices. Units support DIN-rail mounting.
