Haystack Connect Emphasizes Latest Techniques for Connecting Systems and Utilizing Data

Niagara Forum 2015March 2015 - Contemporary Controls will be attending the upcoming community-focused Project Haystack Connect 2015 Conference.
Haystack Connect 2015 provides an opportunity for professionals in automation, control and the Internet of Things to come together and discuss the latest techniques for connecting systems, and utilize device data. Attendees share best practices on items such as intelligent buildings, energy management, remote monitoring and other smart-device applications. The inspiration behind Haystack Connect 2015 is to find the best solutions to advance the state of the art in intelligent buildings. The event enables the community to come together and join forces on open technologies, understanding that no single manufacturer or organization can drive the industry. As the previous event, we are looking forward to exchanging technical ideas and thoughts with our respected colleagues within the community, learning, and sharing best practices that ultimately benefit the customer.

Contemporary Controls will display building automation products that support our BASautomation® - Building on BACnet product line Control, Integrate, Visualize and Communicate.

BAS overview

Our primary focus remains on bringing devices up to IP networks, which is why BACnet/IP is very important to us. Our BACnet/IP unitary controllers execute freely programmable Sedona Framework wire sheets. BACnet MS/TP and BACnet Ethernet to BACnet/IP. BASrouters bring Spyder controllers up to BACnet/IP without installing another building controller. BACnet gateways make it easy to integrate Modbus RTU to BACnet/IP because we provide the necessary device profiles. You just check-off the points you need. Our easy-to-use, web-based graphical head-ends display sophisticated graphics, and support BACnet, Modbus and EnOcean devices. Once up on BACnet/IP, our managed and unmanaged Ethernet switches can complete the installation, which are designed to co-exist in the control panel with other 24 VAC control equipment.
