COVID-19 Mitigation Efforts

Contemporary Controls has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 mitigation guidelines issued by governing healthcare authorities. We're adjusting our safety protocols on a regional basis depending on local guidelines. During this challenging time, we are committed to the safety and well-being of our employees.

Due to concerns about COVID-19, Contemporary Controls has reinforced prevention measures. We've suspended in-person visits with customers and vendors and rescheduled training sessions. To reduce the number of people at our facilities, those employees who can work from home are doing so. We are following the latest directives regarding hygiene, social distancing and frequent hand washing.

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and make further changes as needed.

Because our industry in considered essential, our manufacturing plant in Illinois continues to operate while following the social distancing guidelines. We are accepting orders and shipping products. Even while working from home, our technical support team is available and can be reached by phone or email.

Contemporary Controls has again achieved the Illinois Manufacturers' Association Healthy Manufacturer Certification . This certification was earned through participation with OSHA authorized instructors from the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) to ensure that Contemporary Controls has a Healthy Workplace Plan that incorporates guidelines from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA), and World Health Organization (WHO).

The Certification is part of Contemporary Controls' on-going efforts to maintain as safe an environment as possible for our employees.

At our headquarters in Downers Grove, Illinois, our pandemic response plan has led us to revise workspaces, implement a cleaning/sanitizing protocol for shared areas, and provide ongoing reminders and training to all employees. The IMEC Technical Specialist who reviewed our plan said, "You have a simple, comprehensive, easy to understand plan. I will recommend that IMA (Illinois Manufacturers' Association) provide you a Healthy Workplace Certificate."
